Thanksgiving Pie

Valuing family is something that most people are equipped to do. It's the sense of belonging when you’re around people who love you no matter what the circumstances are. People you can always lean on if you fall. Family is very important because you don't only depend on them but they also depend on you. They're the people who can drive you crazy, be annoying, and embarrass you, yet you still love them. They're the reasons you have your quirks and why you smile. Your family doesn't even have to be related to you, they could be a spouse or your best friends. As long as you have a dependency, trust, and love for someone they are good as family.
I'm thankful for my family, in case you couldn't tell. I'm thankful for how my family is always there for me and that I can be there for them too. I have a close relationship with my instant family and my uncles, aunts, and cousins. I'm very lucky for the family and even though I don't always show it I'm extremely thankful for them. I'm also thankful for my friends. Because even though they don't have to, they still put up with me. We all work well together and always have a good time together. I'm thankful for all the good fortune, luck and health I've had through my life and hope it continues.
I don't really have many traditions for Thanksgiving other than a big dinner with a turkey. But my family never has Thanksgiving under the same roof for consecutive years, every year we go either up north to my cottage, my uncle and aunt's house, or our house. I'm not even sure if that's a tradition or just a fluke. Another tradition we have is the day after Thanksgiving after the Black Friday shopping, we have pie from the Thanksgiving dinner with our breakfast. This is a tradition started when my great aunt was over and decided to spoil me and my sister by allowing us to eat pie before we had breakfast and ever since then it just stuck.
