Other than my friends and family, I’m thankful to have a stable life. I’m not thankful for a certain part of it like my social life, I’m just glad my life is all fine and dandy. Though my life isn’t exactly everything I wish it to be, I’m thankful it’s enough to keep me confident. I love how everyday offers a new opportunity and I am involved in so many things like acting and Global Ed, yet I’m also happy to return home and have those days of no cares and no troubles. I’m proud to be alive, I’m proud to be an American, and I’m proud of who I am.
For Thanksgiving, we have the same tradition every year. We invite grandparents, uncles, aunts, and cousins of both sides of the family to our house and they help us make food. We make turkey, croissants, salads, monkey bread and mashed potatoes. Every day I always love seeing the food we make and gobbling it up (no pun intended). The food is always well made and occasionally we do the classic “breaking the wishbone” tradition (which by the way I always beat my brother at.) After we eat dinner, we talk to my cousin Miranda through Skype. We always enjoy talking to her and know she’ll be back for Christmas. Usually we also separate the adults and children with separate tables, but what table I go to this year has yet to be determined.
Good detail...and monkey bread is delicious :)

DeleteThanks. I usually call Thanksgiving Turkey Day. Wouldn't that be a better holiday name??
DeleteLove the free food! :D Friends mean a whole lot to me too.
ReplyDeleteIt was funny when you said you like Thanksgiving for the free food, I also like it because of that. I would like to know what monkey bread is, that doesnt sound very appetizing but if you like it, keep on eating it.
