Thanksgiving is More Then Just Eating Turkey

There are many important things that I value like religion, education, and sports, but the most important thing would have to be music. I have been listening to music all my life, but music didn't have an impact on me until I started playing the clarinet in fourth grade. Ever since then It has been a major influence on my life. When I listen to music it's a way for me to just escape from the real world and relax and enjoy life. When I am playing my clarinet in band it's an amazing feeling to think that we are making music that sounds really nice(well it depends on the day). Music is such a important thing in my life that I even plan on going to college to major in music.

The classic question everyone asks on Thanksgiving is: What are you thankful for? Well, I thought about this question, and realized that I have a lot of things to be thankful for. First off, I'm thankful for my family. My family is always supporting of everything I do from band to track and field. Secondly, I'm thankful for all my friends because they make me laugh, and we have the best times together when we all hang out. Last but not least, I'm thankful that my parents haven't lost their jobs, so we can still live in our house, and have food on the table for my family to eat.

Ever since I could remember we have been celebrating Thanksgiving at my grandma's house in Redford, but my grandma just moved to Northville, so we are celebrating Thanksgiving at my house this year. We have a traditional Thanksgiving dinner with Turkey, mash potatoes, and all of the other stereotypical food you eat at Thanksgiving. After dinner my dad and I watch the Lions play on TV even know they always lose every year. After the football game is over we eat desert, and then we watch a random movie that my mom chooses and then we usually leave my grandma's house to go home, but it is the opposite this year.
